Brand & Marketing Services Lead
Hello. Is it YOU we’re looking for?
Cozy greetings from the Mysa team! We’re a company founded on people-first culture, fueled by our mission to lead the global shift toward electrification. Through the creation of life-simplifying smart HVAC controls for homes and businesses, we’re helping our customers save energy, money, and the planet we share.
Mysa is looking for a Brand & Marketing Services Lead to join our team in St. John's, NL or Remotely. You’ll own how our brand shows up everywhere a customer meets it. We operate across e-commerce, retail, and utility marketplaces, and this role exists to build one consistent, powerful brand across all of them. You will lead our brand, social, content, product marketing, and creative functions as a shared service that powers every channel we sell through.
This is a build role. Our growth to date has come from capturing high-intent, research-driven buyers. The next wave of growth requires reaching customers earlier: educating them, building trust at the top of the funnel, and making the brand work harder across every touchpoint, whether that’s our own store, a retail shelf, or a utility program.
One important distinction: you support our channels, you don’t run them. Channel leads own their P&L and execution. You give them a stronger brand, better content, sharper product marketing, and a creative engine that makes every channel more effective.
AI is also woven into how we work at Mysa. It isn’t a tool you’ll experiment with - it’s how you’ll scale brand impact, accelerate content creation, strengthen product marketing, and enable every channel we support.
Role Overview:
- Brand: Strategy, positioning, voice, and visual identity. Build a true omnichannel brand with consistency at every touchpoint across e-commerce, retail, and utility marketplaces.
- Social: Build our organic social presence into a real top-of-funnel asset, tightly integrated with the brand.
- Content: Own the content strategy that educates the next generation of buyers, moving beyond the self-directed researcher to the mainstream customer.
- Product marketing: Positioning, messaging, and go-to-market support for new product launches across B2C and B2B.
- Creative team: Lead the in-house design function as a shared service to all channels and business lines.
Key mandates in your first year
- Establish brand foundations. Set the strategy and guardrails so creative direction debates get settled by the brand, not by opinion.
- Power top-of-funnel growth. Build the education and awareness engine needed to lower acquisition costs as we scale into new markets and programs.
- Stand up planning and prioritization. Bring structure to how creative and content work gets scoped, prioritized, and delivered across competing channel demands.
- Build our in-house video capability. Video is a core gap. You will direct a video creator who works across all three modes: shot, AI-generated, and rendered. More importantly, you will own the campaign direction and prioritization that turns that talent into shipped assets.
Your Star Qualities
- Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written). Quebec is central to our growth plans and this role owns how the brand shows up there
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in brand marketing, product marketing, and creative leadership, with a proven track record of building consumer brands and leading high-performing teams.
- Proven brand leadership: you’ve built or meaningfully evolved a consumer brand, ideally in hardware, home, or energy.
- Strong track record of integrating AI into marketing and creative operations, with a clear point of view on how emerging technologies are reshaping brand building and customer acquisition.
- Experience leading creative teams, including video
- Product marketing chops across B2C and B2B
- Strong planning and operational skills: you can run a shared services function serving multiple internal customers without becoming a bottleneck
- A collaborator’s instinct: success in this role means making channel leaders more successful
